Why you should use cloth diapers?
Having a new baby may seriously damage your home budget. Pram, furniture, clothes... the list goes on and on. It looks like the tiniest member of our family has the greatest needs! Fortunatelly it doesn't always have to be like that - cloth diapers will really help you with saving money (unless you'll fall in love with them and want your stash to grow bigger and bigger;)
Until your kids learn to use a potty, you'll change diaper at least 4600 times! Depending on the brand of disposables you'll choose, it will cost you £400-1000. Do you really want to ditch your money altogether with a used nappy? Cloth diapers can significantly relieve your home budget, because they grow with a child and therefore one diaper set will be sufficient until your toddler learns how to use a potty. What's more, if diapers are taken care of properly, all your children will be able to use them!
DIAPERS ARE ECO
If our planet and your health matter to you, using cloth dapiers should be on top of your eco-list. Thanks to reusables, you reduce the amount of garbage and protect your little one against irritating substances present in disposable nappies. The disposable can contain as many as 200 different chemical substances but producers are not obliged to reveal the exact composition.
Decomposition of one diaper will take 300 to 500 years. Each child "produces" 1.5 tones of used nappies, cuts 3 pines (cellulose), will use 3.5 times more energy and 2.3 water - to produce cellulose. So it's your choice - 4600 nappies in a landfill or 24 drying in your bathroom.
YOU WILL TAKE THE BEST CARE OF YOUR BABY'S SKIN
Diapers will have contact with your child's skin at least for the first two years of her life, that's why choosing the right ones is so important. Cloth diapers give your baby the best comfort - they are soft and breathable. Clothes are made of different materials and you can choose the option that best suits you and your baby. Cloth diapers hardly ever cause diaper rash, unlike disposables, which must be almost always used with rash cream (because of the content of chemicals). And when your baby takes the first steps? Soft diapers will cushion all the falls :)
AND THE LAST BUT NOT LEAST - YOU WILL PLEASE THE EYE WITH A COLLECTION OF COLORFUL NAPPIES :)
